After just under a week’s delay, the Dream Villain drops his latest project complete with features from mentor J. Cole, as well as the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Eric Roberson, Shalonda, Elite and Voli, with production handled by Omen himself throughout.

What else could you expect from an artist who used to be called Tity Boi? Ignorant brilliance!
Production from the likes of Lex Luger, Drumma Boy, Fat Boi, G Fresh, C Note and more. You know the deal, if you want something with insightful lyrics then this is probably one to avoid (although there is a Raekwon feature on there)!

After Thurzday dropped his debut solo project earlier this year, his former partner Yonas has now released his first LP since U-N-I split. The project features input from the likes of Warm Weather, Phil Ade, Ro Blvd, Mainframe and stylistically takes influence from an eclectic collection of genres such as hip-hop, punk and r&b in the same vein as U-N-I did.

I know that one of the most anticipated releases of today is A$AP Rocky’s debut, and while it’s going to have to wait until tomorrow morning for me (it’s late here in the UK,) it is finally available for you’re listening pleasure. The flavour of the month still doesn’t have me fully convinced (although I do enjoy his music) so I’m looking forward to hearing him on a full length project.
Say what you want though, the Harlemite has started out strong after releasing ‘Purple Swag’ he has gained a tonne of co-signs, a tour with Drake and Kendrick Lamar and now a major label record deal. The expectations are definitely high for this one!

L.E.P Bogus Boys’ new mixtape is another highlight of the Halloween releases this year, in a time when the ‘gangsta rap’ genre has largely shifted toward music about balling and spending money (not that I’m hating), folks like L.E.P and Freddie Gibbs (who also released a tape today) hold it down for the gritty street level stuff! Recommended for fans of Mobb Deep!

Despite a lot of references to this being a ‘mixtape’ this entirely original production is definitely an album, and amid the reams of high profile tapes dropping today was definitely the one I was most excited about. After listening through once I can say that it definitely delivered, and that joining CTE hasn’t changed or diluted Gibbs in any way! This is a highly recommended download. I have to shout out Augor too for the excellent cover art, I’d love to see more releases with artwork as interesting as this!

The first of Halloween’s long list of mixtape/album releases comes courtesy of Fat Joe, with his follow-up to his 2010 record, The Darkside V.1. Most of the production here is handled by in-house Terror Squad producer Mark Henry with only a couple of features from the likes of French Montana, Jadakiss and Raekwon. Volume 1 was a very solid LP and saw Joey back on form for the first time in a few years, so volume 2 is definitely worth a free download!

In a great move given the current ‘industry cilmate’, Immortal Technique has opted to release his new LP as a free download, and follow it up with a tour (dates after the jump). The record includes an incredible host of contributors including the likes of DJ Green Lantern, Mela Machinko, Killer Mike, Chuck D, Brother Ali, J.Dilla, Styles P, Joell Ortiz, Vinnie Paz and more…
