Hi. Long time no blog. I’ve been busy putting together new music and visuals and preparing for my show down at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas. This is a great opportunity for me and I look forward to meeting my fans and networking while I’m down there. I’ll also be documenting my trip to Texas and hopefully I’ll be able to get that out to the people as soon as possible so they can gain some insight into what it was like at SXSW. I didn’t make the showcase that a lot of other artists are performing in, and actually, I was snubbed for the 2nd year in a row and not included on the bill. Nevertheless, my unrelenting talent, drive, and determination continues to open doors for me, and I made it to SXSW regardless. I will continue to create opportunities for myself whether or not people want to see me in an advantageous position. It’s going to happen and it’s something you’ll just have to deal with. I didn’t coin the phrase “Greatness opens Doors” because it sounds cute. That shit is authentic, and I demonstrate it time and time again.
My next project is taking longer to get out to the people than I anticipated, but I can only venture to guess that it’s all for a reason. With that being said, loose ends are slowly but surely tying themselves together, and it seems as though we’re a month or so away from giving the listeners what they’ve been waiting for. Sit tight.

New visuals from Marz Lovejoy’s This Little Light Of Mine EP. Marz assures me that we can expect a new guest-blog here at HHF soon…
Hello, I’m back for the 1st entry of the year!!!
This one isn’t really dance related but it still relates to me as I dance in theatre. During my career, I got to learn a little about what we call Hiphop Theatre here (using hiphop elements to create theatre pieces).
Doc Brown to me is the perfect example of what Hiphop Theatre should be, he has skills and his presence on stage is brilliant. He still seems to be at an early stage of his career but I do hope to see more of him.
Here is what he can do…

HipHopFiend is proud to present the first ever solo track from Noah Caine (formerly known as Hi-Jynx) entitled, “I Used To,” produced by J. Face. This is also the first ever HipHopFiend Premiere, and will appear on the mixtape that we are trying to put together (hopefully it will see a release sometime in the next 6 months!)… Enjoy!
Rarest Element presents 8 new beats inspired by the work of the late great James Yancey, who would have been celebrating his 37th Birthday today…
After the success of Scottish producer, Rarest Element’s Asher Roth remix, we have decided to put out a weekly series of sorts, which will see Rare dropping a new remix each week for the next ten weeks or so, culminating in an EP of remixes presented by HipHopFiend.
This week he took on one of my favourite tracks from TiRon’s excellent “MSTRD” project, “For Your Smile,” (unfortunately too late for the TiRon Remix Competition!)
I heard someone say, “Change doesn’t come often, but it comes soon enough.”
I believe in change, who doesn’t, but what if that change affected us personally? What if that change affected the way that my listeners and I interacted, the way I conduct my interviews, the way that everyone consumed my work? Would it be a change for the better? Of course it would.
I changed my name.
Not the person who I am, but where I want to be with my listeners. A more personal approach to putting out material. A more mature artist is what most hope to develop over time. I believe that an artist who builds a better way for themselves to reach out to the world that they create for, wins.
Change is good.
With the club night just a week away, FBGM Productions comes through with the final promo video, incorporating Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ latest track, “Wing$.”
So “The Talented Tenth” EP has been out for a while now, and the response has been very overwhelming. We put a lot of effort into making something that was easy to listen to… but thought provoking at the same time. All the late nights turned into something that we can look back on and be proud of. Since it was a digital release, we didn’t really have a chance to write up a “thank you” list… so here goes…
Sundown:
Thanks to my family for being so supportive; I wouldn’t be able to do this without any of you behind me. To everyone at Brightlady, lets keep rocking. To everyone that was a part of this project (Ka$h, Khrysis, AMP, Rapsody, HaLo, Big Remo, Eric G., Sean Boog, Tom Hardy, Sinopsis, Joyce He and of course, 9th Wonder,) we’re lucky to be around like minded people who push us to be better. To everyone at DJBooth.net, thanks for featuring the project. Tou guys shed a lot of light on us. To Grant Brydon, thanks for that interview. That might be the best one we’ve done so far. Thank God for Skype!!!
FBGM Productions comes through with the third promotional video for the upcoming HipHopFiend night at WorldHQ in Newcastle, UK.
The video features visuals from Kobi Onyame’s recent gig in Edinburgh, with audio from Kendrick Lamar…
