Visuals from Just Jam, an internationally known b-boy jam that is hosted annually in my city (Newcastle, UK) by the Bad Taste Cru. Filmed and edited by James Coyle. The video is really well done, and is an excellent document of the event, well worth watching for anyone, whether you have heard of the jam or not.

The sneaker, the record, rare bboy footage, deadstock clothing, signed print, and so on and so forth.

These are the things/items that we as bboys and hiphop fanatics search, dream and talk about.

The holy grail of sneakers/records etc.

What does it all mean? Why do we do it? (insert witty comment about OCD)

I myself am a hoarder, and constantly look and search for things I used to own, wanted to own as a kid, or sometimes just find and think ‘yeah ill have that’

So I decided to ask a few of my friends (old school hip hop veterans and current bboys) if they could share with me some of their most cherished examples of what hip hop means to them.

These answers came in various forms, memories, specific items, to scenes from movies/documentaries, to music and other mediums.

First of I would like to thank Grant for inviting me to do this blog and to be a part of the HIPHOPFIEND network.
I think my blog will probably end up with me referring to loads of hip hop related stuff, weird things, stuff I like, stuff I hate, other randomness and things to do with the bboyworld, pretty standard affair, I am afraid but hopefully mildly interesting none the less.
