Last week I received another great package from long-standing HHF sponsor NorthSkull; including one of their new all-black varsity jackets, which has been on my back ever since! The piece really is outstanding quality and feels like an instant classic, with it’s woolen body and cow leather sleeves. It is adorned with a small embroidered ‘NorthSkull’ logo on the front, a larger one across the back and an ‘NS’ patch on the shoulder. Early September 2010 Jordan released the CMFT series putting all their know how in making battle tested high performance basketball shoes and putting it into designing a a casual range of shoes that are high quality in comfort and style in all the ways you would expect of anything that comes out of the Jordan camp.
The first of the Jordan casual series was the Air Jordan CMFT VIZ XI. Jordan heads will recognise the upper shoe as the iconic Air Jordan XI. The shoe sits on a visible air cushion system just like the classic Air Max 1 with a translucent Elephant print sole that really gives you the style and attention to detail that you expect from the Jordan brand.
The fact that this shoe is an Air Jordan mixed perfectly with an Air Max 1 means this range gets a big thumbs up from the Sole Searchers Crew. Maybe these are the hybrids that should have had the “best of both worlds” tag on the back of the tongue as well as all of the Air Jordan Air Force One hybrids??.. leave a comment and let us know what you think! Every week for the next 11 weeks I will be showcasing one of NorthSkull’s quality maple wood chains. The London based brand ship these excellent pieces worldwide and considering how well crafted and hardwearing the pieces are, they are very reasonably priced.
This weeks featured chain is one of NorthSkull’s newest products and commemorates Gangsta rap icon, Eazy E, the voice of N.W.A; and is an impressive, superbly sculpted likeness, which (as can be seen in the images below) is an almost complete bust of Eazy, hanging from a 36 inch NorthSkull bead chain.

This collaboration between true school hip-hop clothing label Exact Science, and super-cool magazine Complex, depicts a scantily clad Complex model carrying some sneakers tying in two great loves of the male hip-hop enthusiast. Held together with a fresh polka-dot background, this design really does do justice to both brands involved and comes highly recommended.
Last year Danksquad teamed up with Pep Love of Hieroglyphics crew, to design this eye-catching hoodie, which is available in two colorways and reflects aesthetically, both Pep Love’s music and Danksquad’s style. The piece was debuted at a Pep Love show in Salt Lake City (where Danksquad is based.) DansSquad’s lead graphic designer JPete handled both the apparel design and show poster.
“For Pep Loves collab design we wanted to create a mashup of Salt Lake City where we reside and Oakland CA where Pep is from. The graphic is in the shape of Pep’s logo and in the piece is half of some imagery from downtown SLC and half from Oakland. With some Danksquad nuggets raining Down them both.”
All tied together with a sleeve print branding the piece, the hoody is available in purple with yellow or green with purple and orange hoodies, sizes L-2XL. Also in off white T shirts w/ grey and black print sizes L-3XL.
