The highly anticipated new project from Cris Cab, whose had great reviews on his fresh pop sound. Cris is signed to Pharrell’s ‘I Am Other’ venture, and although I haven’t really had a chance to listen to this project as a whole yet, the download was worth it for the Pharrell verse on the title track (if you ask me, I’m a bit of a Stan though…)

Not a documentary on the worldwide web, but on Syd Tha Kyd and Matt Martian’s Purple Naked Ladies album, which I’ve only recently got my hands on. Watching this insight into the making of the record definitely got me interested in getting around to giving it a good listen, and what I’ve heard from the project so far has been great…

I first heard Minneapolis’ MaLLy back in December on the “Somebody, MN” posse cut alongside Atmosphere, Big Quarters and Kill The Vultures as they set to collectively tour their home state, so I was on the look out for more when this new single (premiered over at PrefixMag) landed in my inbox. MaLLy definitely sounds like a promising new artist, and given that I am a huge fan of Minneapolis hip-hop, I for one will be on the look out for a feature length project from this up-and-coming MC (hopefully) in the near future…

When they initially leaked the first single from this project last week, I really couldn’t imagine what the output from a collaborative EP by these two artists would sound like. But the more I listen, and the more I hear from the project, the more I’m intrigued! I’m looking forward to hearing this one when it drops on Valentines day…

The latest single from the slightly delayed new project from KiD CuDi and Dot Da Genius, which was supposed to drop today, but is now looking at a February 28th release instead…

M.I.A’s official lead single from her next album (which won’t see release until the Summer) originally appeared on her ViCKi LEEKX mixtape, and is set to premiere as a video this Friday. Given how great her previous visuals have been, this should definitely be worth looking out for!
