Cory Gunz and Meek Mill rep their prospective cliques on their collaborative track from the former’s latest mixtape Son Of A Gun which is available now…
I first heard of Shady Blaze the other day on Squadda B’s latest tape, so decided to check out his new video when it dropped today. With artists like Tech N9ne, Yelawolf and Rittz bringing speed rap back to the forefront this year, it’s likely that Shady Blaze will follow on from this into 2012. Check out his latest project here…
With not much to report over the past couple of days, due to most artists either having released on Christmas day or holding out until New Year, I’ve been checking out, and catching up on the music I missed out on over the year. When I heard that BLKHRTS who released this EP back in January sounded like “Morrissey meets M.O.P” I had to check it out; and oddly enough, the description is fairly accurate.

When we were all stuffing ourselves with Turkey and being merry yesterday, Prodigy of Mobb Deep took to Twitter to announce that next year he will be releasing the third instalment of his H.N.I.C solo album series, as well as dropping off a taster of things to come.
If you didn’t cop The Ellsworth Bumpy Johnson Story EP he put out earlier this year, then I’d advise picking it up here…
Usually when a Frank Ocean track leaks it’s an old track that wasn’t supposed to get out, a reference for another artist or something that was scrapped. Not this time however, as Frank himself took to his Tumblr page late on Christmas night to release a new track for his fans. I’m certainly looking forward to seeing what 2012 will bring for the artist who resurrected RnB (for me at least) this year…

One of the stand out producers of this year was undoubtedly New Jersey native, Clams Casino, with production credits for the likes of Mobb Deep, ASAP Rocky, Lil B and Soulja Boy. With his production often outshining and extending beyond the fanbase of the rap artists he has worked with, it was not surprising that when a mixtape of instrumentals was released earlier this year it would be a great success. Now with only one week of the year left we finally get our hands on a mastered version of this project…
The Queens collective comprising Children Of The Night, Cody B. Ware, Jeff Donna and Prince SAMO rep their borough on the crews debut video for their new single which is available for free download here…
Ill Bill and Slaine head up the new La Coka Nostra release with the lead single. The new LP, which is set to drop in May 2012, will be entitled Masters Of The Dark Arts…
It’s been a great year for Miami rapper GhostWridah who I’ve seen working the blogs to a point of much more prominence, and it looks like next year will be even greater for him. To end up the year he has put out a new EP produced entirely by LowKey, which looks at Micheal Jordan’s “blueprint to excellence.”
“Michael Jordan once said that there is no I in team…” – GhostWridah
We all know Michael Jordan symbolizes victory.
This is a look at the parallels of a journey while building a dynasty through the eyes of one who is chasing the top spot of this music ish.
GhostWridah is planning to accomplish this and much more, and this is a tribute to one whom provided a blueprint for excellence, as well as a message to those who still might not believe.
