As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been having a great time over the holidays catching up on all the music I’ve missed out on over the year for whatever reason, and some real gems have been emerging. A project that passed under my radar back in October was Danny Brown affiliate, Dopehead (commonly described as a slightly more chilled version of Brown himself) with his newest mixtape of all original music entitled Plaid Palm Trees. I first the heard Detroit native on Danny’s ‘Bruiser Brigade’ (from his XXX effort) and went on to check out his Dope Head Musick Vol.1 mixtape, but this new tape really took him to the next level in my opinion.
