Great to see some fitting visuals released for my personal favourite Macklemore track…
Nearly a year ago, Otherside, a fan favorite off of the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ VS EP, was remixed and released as part of their VS Redux project. During that span, and spurred on by a powerful fan-base who have long embraced Otherside (the song has over one-million plays one YouTube), Macklemore and Lewis felt compelled to deliver a worthy visual to accompany the already stirring narrative. Along with Macklemore and Lewis, the visual was shot in multiple locations by director and long time collaborator Jason Koenig (My Oh My). The song, remixed and now featuring Christopher Mansfield (Fences) on the chorus, chronicles Macklemore’s personal struggles with drug abuse and its glorification within the hip hop music he loves.
The latest leak from Emilio’s Billionaire Boy’s Club presented album Breaking Point, which hopefully will be with us very soon…
I’m don’t really follow The Dream but I figured a lot of readers would be interested in this. I certainly plan on checking this album out, as it is entirely original material and features input from Pharrell Williams. What interested me was that Def Jam attempted to stop this from being released, but he went ahead and dropped it anyway. What does this say about the power that labels now have over artists in the age of the internet…
From his Twitter…

The official single from Hollywood Floss’ new project One Fan At A Time, which I’ve had the honour of previewing, and I have to say it’s definitely one to look forward to. We will be putting up an interview in the next couple of weeks discussing the project, before it finally drops on September 22nd…
It’s crazy to me that this is produced by Lex Luger. It’s the only one that you couldn’t throw Waka Flocka on! Having said that, I much prefer that over this track. From the Maybach Music Group’s Self Made Vol.1 compilation…
When I interviewed TiRon back in January he was gearing up to release A Sucker For Pumps, so after a few delays it will finally be dropping on September 13th via Itunes. Can’t be mad though, from the snippets it’s sounding like it’s going to be worth the wait…
For now check out the prelude project they dropped a while back, to get caught up!
