For fans of “conscious hip-hop” you couldn’t think of a line-up much better than Black Star (Mos Def & Talib Kweli), De La Soul and the legendary Rakim. So fans of hip-hop in the UK are in for a real treat in May, when this very line-up takes to our shores.
The last time Mos Def and Talib Kweli performed together in the UK was 12 years ago. De La Soul always bring the good times, with tracks from their array of classic albums, and Rakim is thought of as by many (including myself) as one of the greatest emcee’s of all time. Making this event unmissable.
This event is already almost sold out out in London. But luckily an extra date has been added for Northerners (like myself), in Manchester, and I’d urge everyone to get a ticket, for the very reasonable fee of £34, asap to avoid disappointment.
