Duck Down have kindly released the first single from Pharoahe’s upcoming W.A.R (We Are Renegades) free of charge. The album drops next Tuesday…
Pulled Over By The Cops is the name of the supergroup originally formed on Freddie Gibbs’ fantastic “Oil Money (Remix)” which was one of my favourite tracks of last year. I remember Chuck Inglish posting that they were forming a group (which consists of himself and Mikey, Freddie Gibbs, Chip Tha Ripper, production duo Blended Babies, and occasionally Bun B) however I didn’t think that it would ever happen other than on that track. This is the official introduction to the group, who according to FakeShoreDrive are currently working on a full-length project (in between all of their solo projects) which will be entirely produced by Blended Babies, and they have several tracks in the bag already…
Out of the blue Wiz drops his latest mixtape Cabin Fever which contrasts the chilled out vibe of last years Kush and OJ with a more energetic tape that is mostly produced by Lex Luger… ‘Nuff Said!

I’ve been listening to stuff from Odd Future more and more lately, and it’s great to see a group of kids really being themselves and putting out a load of original and quality tracks. I couldn’t believe it when I heard they’d actually been allowed to do Fallon (not that they don’t deserve it, just seems a little risque for mainstream TV,) but they delivered a phenomenal performance, and hopefully they will eventually blow up!
Mini- documentary on the Roots courtesy of Cam Be, Jeff Baraka and Okayplayer TV…
During the latter part of 2010 Jeff Baraka and I had the opportunity to cover a number of concerts on the Hennessey Artistry Tour with the Legendary Roots Crew. I have always been a huge fan of the music created by the best band to ever grace the Hip-Hop genre. In this film I wanted to not only highlight the versatility of a group that has played with most everyone in the industry. But also capture candid moments of real human beings just trying to share the gifts they have been given to the best of their abilities.
In addition to the Hennessey Tour, we got an chance to sit down with drummer ?uestlove at the House of Blues in Chicago as the Roots gave the audience a glimpse of why they are considered by many the hardest working band in show biz. All and all the Roots have proven time again that they are indeed Legendary

The latest instalment of the #goronniesessions see’s the two go in over Schoolboy Q’s excellent album opener, “FIgg Get The Money.”
Despite everyone posting this as “Eminem (feat. Just Blaze)” it has been made clear by Just Blaze himself that the vocals he recorded were only as a reference and he was not intended to be on the track. This is an unreleased cut from the Recovery sessions…

Hello, I’m back for the 1st entry of the year!!!
This one isn’t really dance related but it still relates to me as I dance in theatre. During my career, I got to learn a little about what we call Hiphop Theatre here (using hiphop elements to create theatre pieces).
Doc Brown to me is the perfect example of what Hiphop Theatre should be, he has skills and his presence on stage is brilliant. He still seems to be at an early stage of his career but I do hope to see more of him.
Here is what he can do…
