Hello world. I hope you don’t mind me using this as a minature diary.
Seven months ago…..I was just trying to graduate from Wesleyan University with some honors. I didn’t think this would really be my life. I didn’t think I would be attempting to live the dream of so many people that I have interviewed, critiqued and watched on stages. I mean… in the back of my mind I always knew the stage was my home and Hip Hop was my sun. From spitting poetry to acting and directing, I knew it was where I wanted to be and what I needed to breathe, but I never allowed the picture to stand clear in my vision. Maybe cause my momma never believe rappers could make it Maybe cause momma wanted her daughter to be sensible and get a real job. Fuck it, whatever. My name is L.A. and I was born to be a artist. Artists are those who create for change and I’m hoping I do this with every song I drop, face I meet, step I choose. LET FUCKIN GO!
