The long awaited Ski Beatz album, “24 Hour Karate School” is finally out this tuesday, and after hearing it I must admit, it’s been well worth the wait. The drums on this album remind me of why I fell in love with Hip-Hop, this is potentially one of my favourite albums of the year, up there with “Pilot Talk,” and Ski Beatz is one of the best producers in the game in 2010…

So since Swizzy toned down the quality of this weeks G.O.O.D Music drop, the good folks at 2Dopeboyz have uploaded a version in which his verse has been edited out, this improved the track greatly for me, and I am listening to this version now rather than the real one! The joy of modern technology!

Although I was hoping for “Runaway,” I am just as happy to hear something brand new, and this is another solid G.O.O.D Saturday release (have any of them actually arrived on Friday?). I can’t help feeling that this is another Kanye leak that could have been improved with the removal of an unnecessary feature; this would have been a much better track if Swizz Beatz were excluded (Likewise I felt “Power Remix” would have been improved without him contributing vocals, “Runaway Love” would have been better without Bieber, and unfortunately “GOOD Friday” would have been better without Sean’s verse). That said it is great to hear Mos Def rapping again, Raekwon is excellent as usual, Kanye is on point and a G.O.O.D Friday release wouldn’t be complete without Charlie Wilson…
